Welcome to T.J Ward Photography
My name is Thomas Ward and I'm 21 years of age, I have been into wildlife photography for a number of years now, an interest stemming back to when I used to love watching the birds in the garden.
I have always loved the outdoors and being out in the open air, especially in the peaceful realms of the countryside. The real hunger for advancing was the urge to improve and gain knowledge of the field.
I was bought my first a DSLR camera when I was about 12 years of age, and that was a Nikon D50 which I still use at present, accompanied with a Sigma 70-300mm DG Macro lens. At the age of 13 I entered a few competitions and got commended for the photograph of the Fallow Dear (seen top left) in the Chatsworth estate near to where I live, this being in a RSPB Birdlife magazine. This moment, all be it a small step, was for me a big achievement for me.
I have also had photo’s printed in the BBC Wildlife Magazine and more recently in the Digital Camera World magazine. To see my photo printed for the public to see was an eye opener and has urged me to keep going.
Since then I have progressed and have taken some photos to be proud of and in making this site my simple intention is to show my photos to the public. I am currently working on light trial photography of different sorts and landscape photography with the latest series being the /lightderbyshire series.
